Anna M. Bruty joined Peebles Bergin in early 2024, and brings with her a wealth of expertise in federal Indian law and business law as well as a strong background of litigation experience.

Ms. Bruty has dedicated a substantial portion of her practice to fostering economic development growth for federally recognized Indian tribes through both traditional and unique opportunities. In addition to traditional casino ventures, Ms. Bruty provides legal representation in emerging industries, including but not limited to, sports betting, tribal cannabis, information technology, and online lending. She is experienced in assisting her clients with crafting and implementing innovative strategic tribal developments tailored to the specific needs of the tribe with a focus on maintaining and expanding sovereignty.

She is also adept at handling various litigation matters for her clients in tribal, state, and federal courts, and has a long history of litigation experience assisting her clients, situated as plaintiffs and defendants, in various matters including but not limited to, online lending, probate, gaming, medical malpractice, breach of contract, and fraud.

Ms. Bruty also has substantial experience in providing a range of estate planning services to her clients including assisting the Tribe in the development and implementation of a tribal estate planning program for elder members, assisting specific tribal members with special needs trusts, and drafting tribal probate codes under the American Indian Probate Reform Act. Ms. Bruty also has experience in assisting with tribal education matters in various settings and at all stages.
