Nick Toland is an associate attorney in the Washington, D.C. office, having joined the firm in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, Nick worked at Legal Aid DC, where he focused on civil litigation related to housing law. He represented low-income tenants in a variety of housing-related matters, including appearances before the D.C. Housing Authority and the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Nick earned his J.D. from American University's Washington College of Law in 2022. During law school, he interned with Diné be'iiná Náhiiłna be Agha'diit'ahii (DNA) Legal Services, a nonprofit serving the Navajo Nation, and later with the Navajo Nation Department of Justice in its Economic and Community Development Unit. He was also active in the Native American Law Students Association, helping to revitalize the organization and serving on its board.
Originally from Utah, Nick completed his undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University with a degree in Psychology. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring D.C.'s neighborhoods, collecting vinyl records, and getting outside for a run or bike ride.
