LEGAL EXPERIENCE: Represent tribes and tribal organizations in all aspects of law before tribal, federal, and state forums, both administrative and judicial; primary focus areas in land use, environment, energy development, gaming, and health care; previously served as staff counsel and policy advisor, California Energy Commission (licensing power plants, negotiation with State and local governments on all aspects of land use planning for development of energy projects, representation of State Agency in State and Federal forums; develop statewide policies in area of land use development, Native American resources, and energy and economic development); litigator for a non-profit law firm representing children in dependency proceedings, concentrating on Indian child welfare issues.
