Ms. Hoke joined the firm as an attorney in 2000.

PRIOR LEGAL EXPERIENCE: Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Ms. Hoke worked as a law clerk for the firm from 1998 to 2000.  She also worked as a student attorney in the Indian Law Clinic at the University of Colorado School of Law.

Ms. Hoke currently works primarily on issues related to Indian housing, including personnel and tenant matters.  She has drafted and revised various policies used to operate tribal housing programs, including admissions and occupancy, procurement and personnel policies.  She has successfully litigated numerous cases, including appeals, for lease violations, including rent delinquencies and criminal activities.

Ms. Hoke also has extensive experience in working on tribal governmental matters, including legislation drafting, constitutional issues, and tribal membership and election issues.  In the environmental area, she has experience with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and has favorably settled with the United States on civil penalty claims.  Ms. Hoke has worked on a wide range of other issues at the firm, including federal civil rights/discrimination litigation, P.L. 93-638 contracting, water rights and tribal utility formation.
