Jennifer S. Baker joined the firm in 2014.

Ms. Baker′s practice areas include advising tribes and tribal entities on employment, risk management, compact negotiations and general economic and business development, and jurisdictional controversies involving principles of federal Indian law. Jennifer′s work focuses on helping tribal governments function smoothly. She has extensive experience with code revisions and drafting, as well as constitutional and legal analysis of existing and proposed laws. Recent work includes evaluating long-range planning and drafting for compliance with federal laws and regulations and counseling tribal entities about how to ensure compliance with federal law while safeguarding tribal sovereignty. Jennifer has also worked extensively with tribal governments, treaty councils, and indigenous grassroots organizations on social and environmental justice issues.
